Outdoor Movie Night Recap
On Saturday, September 19th, we held our first Outdoor Movie Night on the field next to the Westgate Community Hall. It was an absolutely beautiful night for this event - one of our last days of summer. Jurassic Park (1993) was the feature film. We saw folks dressed on theme as archeologists and we even saw a T-Rex march across the field to enjoy the show. By a quick head count, there were close to 150 people who attended Movie Night! We were thrilled to see such an enthusiastic turn out.
Events like these would not be possible without the time and commitment of volunteers. Thank you to our volunteers who helped with logistics and lights to get things set-up, and to our concession volunteers who were kept busy before and during the movie, selling popcorn, candy, and beverages. Funds raised from the concession sales will help us continue to provide great events and programs for the community.
We’re excited to make this an annual event and will be sending out a survey soon to gather feedback to help us make Outdoor Movie Night even bigger and better in 2027!
